WIPpet Wednesday
Hello Everyone,

It is WIPpet Wednesday and first of all many thanks to Emily Witt who initiated this WIPpet gathering.  Now it is  time for me to share the books I have read, the books I am reading, and what I plan to read in the future and my WIPpet for this week.

So, here goes:

  • What have I read?

Madness & Obsession by Yolanda Renèe.   This is the third book in Renèe trilogy and based on locations in Alaska. The entire Thriller trilogy is well-crafted. You can read my book reviews on all three books at http://patgarciabookreviews, http://bookreviewsbypatgarcia.blogspot.de,

  • What am I reading?

The Sign of the Green Dragon by C. Lee Mckenzie.

  • What do I plan to read next?

I Wish You Were Mine by Lauren Layne, Runaway Man by David Handler, and The Miracle of Small Things by Guilie Castillo Oriard. I may push back David Handler due to my reading authors that are supported by agents I would like to submit my manuscript to in September.

Background: I am picking up where I left off with Daniel and Maria who happens to be the peacemaker between Daniel and Phoebe.

My WIPpet consists of 27 paragraphs and I did a mathematical formula of 25+ 2 =27.

WIPpet is below.

"Boss, what did Phoebe do to upset you so much that she has decided to quit? How could anything go wrong? She was only in your office five minutes."

"She walked in here with an excuse already on her lips about being late."

"Did you listen to it?"

"No, I didn't. I’m tired of her excuses."

"One minute, Boss. Back up a little. How many times have Phoebe been late for a meeting with you?"

"I don't know, Maria."

"Well, I know. She’s never been late. She's punctual to the tee when it concerns your meetings. But, you’ve been late for every meeting that you've had me schedule with her."

"Okay, Maria, so I overreacted. Is that what you're trying to say?"

"You've just said it yourself, Boss."

"Maria, be happy that you're my personal admin and friend."

"Is that a threat? You can always get someone else, like Tammy."

"Now, don't go starting.... Listen, I'm sorry, Maria. This morning, I seem to be doing everything wrong."

"Apology accepted. So what got your goat with Phoebe?"

"Well, she said that she'd had an unavoidable incident or something like that and I asked if that was more important than my meeting."

"And what did she say?"

"She said yes it was, and her tone made me feel like some wet behind the ears puppy. That's when I told her to get out and come back tomorrow with an answer."

"Oh, Daniel, you and Phoebe are unique.  I've never seen two people out to destroy each other like I'm witnessing between you and her. Did it ever cross your mind that it could have been because of the children? After all, she has eight of them. And the boys are four-year-old, quadruplets, who are curious, and adventurous!"

"No, to be quite honest with you,"

"Maybe, you're fighting some kind of feeling for Phoebe, and she may be doing the same with you."

"Uh uh. No way. I like my women redheaded or blond or with shoulder length permed black hair and not an afro."

"And not much in the head, either," Maria murmured.

"What did you say?"

"Oh, nothing."

"I'm not interested in Phoebe Ward. She's not my style, She's too..."

"Levelheaded, intelligent, and strong. Right, Boss?"

"Maria, you're trying me this morning.  I don't know why I'm discussing this with you. I need to go. I'll be back around 11:30 a.m."

"Okay.  After all, you don't want to be late. What would Phoebe think?" Maria

said as she fled to her desk, laughing.

That's it for this week.

Shalom aleichem,
